Hot Rods, Stock Cars & Bangers At Tullyroan Oval This Saturday

Tullyroan Oval is set to host a night of high drama this Saturday, August 15th, at 6.30pm. Five spectacular formulas will take to the tarmac, featuring a mix of heavy-contact chaos, prestigious championship deciders and elite wheel-to-wheel racing.

Unlimited National Bangers
The headline act sees the Unlimited National Bangers smash their way into the arena for the 2026 King of Krash title. This meeting serves as the high stakes final round of the DMC Race Promotions Points Championship. All eyes will be on Dublin’s former World Champion Stevo McGrath, who currently tops the standings and is hunting down an incredible fifth consecutive points crown. Veteran star Steven Reynolds sits in second place and is primed to spoil the party, while current Irish Champion Deano McGrath adds massive star power to the grid. With veteran entertainer Rodney Herron, the Compelli brothers, the entertaining duo of Daryl and Jessie Gilshenan and rising young gun Jake Reynolds all in action, fans can expect plenty of vehicular destruction alongside the race for the flag.

1600 Rookie Bangers
More title tension awaits in the 1600 Rookie Bangers, where the grid will battle fiercely for the 2026 Ulster Championship. Limavady ace Josh Goligher returns to defend the crown he won spectacularly last year at Aghadowey, entering the weekend in peak form after a victory at the July meeting. He faces a stacked field of local heroes. Alan Haugh has been lightning fast all season to lead the local points chart, while reigning NI Points Champion Stephen Boyd remains the undisputed king of the local scene. Adding further intrigue are Irish Open Champion Steven Bolton, who balances winning pace with crowd-pleasing crashes, and current Irish Champion Lucas Goligher, whose former World Championship pedigree makes him an instant threat.

2.0 Hot Rods
The non-contact 2.0 Hot Rods promise pure pace and precision as they compete for the Tullyroan Challenge Cup. Current Irish Champion Jordan Rochford enters as the defending cup holder, chasing a hat-trick of victories in this event, and is on top form following a win at the last meeting. His task though will not be easy against a world class field. Current World Champion Adam Hylands brings ultimate speed while British Champion Callum Doak represents the best of the rapid young guns.

Superstox
Open-wheel, light-contact specialists take the stage in the Superstox as they compete for the coveted Moffett Shield. Jordan Robinson from The Birches is the defending champion and currently holds the British, Irish, and Internations Cup titles. Despite Robinson's impressive resume, the pre-race favourite tag belongs to the flying Steven Haugh, who currently holds the World, European, and Best in Britain titles. Garvagh’s Dean Catherwood and Loughgall’s Jamie McCann are also in the line-up, both proven front-runners who are always in the mix for a podium finish.

Stock Rods
Completing the bumper programme are the ultra-competitive, front-wheel-drive Vauxhalls of the Stock Rod formula. Current European and Irish Champion Sam McNeice from Randalstown leads a field that boasts an incredible depth of talent. Former World Champions Siobhan Martin of Dungannon and Stevie McNiece of Enniskillen bring unmatched experience to the grid. They will face stiff competition from Mark Crawford and Mark Foster, both of whom are hungry for redemption after narrowly missing out on National Championship glory in England just two weeks ago.
